Santa Claus: The Musical
Michael Malthaner - Composer / Charles Corritore - Lyricist & Librettist

SYNOPSIS   |   SCRIPT (234kb PDF)

Finally, a new Christmas musical!!!

If you're tired of repeating the same versions of A CHRISTMAS CAROL or THE GIFT OF THE MAGI year after year, let the potential of Santa Claus: The Musical! breathe new life into your holiday ticket sales!

Based on The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus by L. Frank Baum (The Wizard of Oz), this big-hearted, delightful tale relates the life story of the jolly old man in the red suit and how so many of the Yuletide traditions associated with him first came to be.

"Malthaner's music reaches admirably inspiring heights in such numbers as "Make the World a Better Place" in which Claus' worldly mission is lyrically captured. The score can also pull out all the stops and indulge in music hall shtick in such numbers as "Who, But the Awgwas?" and "Just Like the Old Days."

"Corritore and Malthaner have succeeded in bringing to Erie the fruits of a labor that dares to be different.....We have, in this delightful entertainment, witnessed the birth of what itself deserves to become a holiday tradition."

- Floyd Lawrence, Erie Times SHOWCASE
